The Michael Crouch Innovation Centre plays a part in the broader community through youth outreach: forging connections and creating opportunities for young people, fostering creative learning, bringing people together, and recognising that ability and ideas can be found everywhere.

Since its inception the MCIC has consistently worked with local schools, and collaborated with like-minded organisations, to provide creative learning experiences for young people, engage them in making and design, and expose them to inspirational leaders and communities within and outside the University.

Through these programs the Centre has reached thousands of students in local and regional areas, planting the seed of both creative design and technology learning, and the aspiration for future study.

In large part the ambitions of MCIC outreach has been to reach young people and those in regional centres, start a conversation about the creative and learning needs of those communities, and help map clear pathways to university.
